I'm just getting started installing WordPress locally so I can work on it before sending it to live, and I just wanted to know how can I backup everything locally once I start working on it.
I need it to be backed up completely with the root folder, databases, and whatever else it needs for a full backup.
But I'm using Microsoft web platform installer to install everything
You can use phpMyAdmin to backup your database, just go to the export tab and select all tables.
As for your files, zip up the public_html (may be named something else, possibly httpdocs) folder and download it.
